Phoenix Children's Hospital - Senior Vice President, Chief Strategy Officer
Phoenix Children’s Hospital (PCH) is conducting a national search for their next Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer (SVP/CSO). PCH has been providing exceptional pediatric care in the Phoenix area for over 30 years, and has been recognized as one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation during the last 10 years. The hospital consists of 433 beds and is mainly housed in a recently built 11-story patient tower. PCH is Arizona’s only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center and houses several Centers of Excellence including Children’s Heart Center, The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Barrow Neurological Institute, NICU, and Center for Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery. PCH also established Phoenix Children’s Care Network in the wake of the Affordable Care Act in order to create a clinically integrated network to manage the continuum of care.
The SVP/CSO is a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), senior leadership team and Board of Directors, providing the assessment, development and implementation of key business strategies designed to further the growth of PCH. This position receives direction from the CEO and will oversee the development and execution of new business ventures with PCH physicians, partner affiliation, market expansions, physician integration and strategy to address growth opportunities to increase the market share of PCH in the Greater Phoenix area.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced business executive who can easily gain the confidence of team members and external partners alike to drive growth. She/he will have broad-based experience at the executive level in a strategy and business development role in a high diversified healthcare system or sophisticated medical center that operates in a competitive market. A track report in healthcare consulting will be seen as a positive. An advanced degree in business administration or related degree from a notable institution is highly desirable. Compensation will be highly competitive for qualified candidates given the importance of this role at PCH.
