Austin Food Scene

Austin’s flourishing food scene ranks it a top foodie city. It’s certainly the place to get barbecue and Tex-Mex, but don’t forget this eclectic town is home to a whole lot more. The Austin dining scene is an exciting one filled with a diverse selection of ever-changing restaurants, bars, food trucks and pop-ups.

Also, Rainey Street is a must! Renovated houses turned into bungalow bars reign supreme on Rainey, the popular tucked-away street. Day or night, you’ll find relaxed bar-goers strolling from bar to food trailer to restaurant, often with their dogs in tow looking for a kicked back sip and a bite.

Things to Do in Austin

Austin offers both the best of Southern charm and city attractions, and it’s also known as the live music capital of the world! This title is largely due to two mega music festivals that take place there; Austin City Limits and South by Southwest. There’s more to the music capital than festivals, though. The city has plenty of venues, small and large, that host every musical genre from blues to hip-hop to country all year round. On most weekends, you can find solo artists and groups playing sets at both neighborhood coffee shops and sold out theatres all throughout the Austin area.
